Watch out while you're heating your car to bend it...Once some melted plastic dripped onto my hand...I think 2nd degree burn? Don't let it happen. Also don't heat plastic up too much or it will burn a hole in your car and you'll have to patch it...

-Handling and working with a model before the paint is fully dry
-using too much glue

you could say that haha, i had a 58 fury i was derbying up, and that kit has one of those frames thats molded seprat from the floor pan and on those kind i dont put much glue to hold the frame on incase i have to pull it apart later, well i had the car setting on my desk and was heating up the side, i would put alittle heat then check the side so i didnt over heat it up, well while i was doing that the heat was hitting the desk and shoting up at the bottom of the car and i didnt notice until i picked it up and my frame shriveled in to a small ball, oops lol So does a heat gun heat up too much at once and screw everything up?

-Handling and working with a model before the paint is fully dry -using too much glue yeah I know what that's like, I have a couple of glue bomb models I made when I was younger, what's funny is that they fell apart fast, my first real good model I built is a Golf GTI and it is holding together fine. And all they do is sit on shelves too...

And another reason why burning holes in models sucks, the model loses some of it's integrity and wants to break apart while you're bending it, almost lost the entire passenger side of my Buick that way. Don't heat the plastic up too much!!!!!! It bends on it's own accord!
