That's all you can do. I think I got 15th the first year so I fixed my mistakes and got 2nd last year. Again went off what I did wrong and managed to win this year. You just have to look back see where you went wrong and improve on it.

Not true in all cases. Sometimes theres a flaw in the system and things dont work out how they should of lol. But itll all get worked out.

Me and Chris have already talked about it but i had a unibody car and you dont run althread or have body mounts in a univody car like the tbird i entered. There is a section on the underside part of the rules for bodymounts. I got two 5's and one judge didnt give me a score for body mounts. If i would of got my points for that section i think i would of won by 5 or so points. But its no big deal its just a Issue for future contests that will probably be revised. But i think the only cars that are true unibody cars without any kind of body mount is the unibody fords. Like i said its already being discussed on how to resolve the issue in future contests.

Gunner asked me in a text message how he could improve if he were to run a unibody or subframer in the future. In the case with a Mopar, you can thread it. A T-Bird, theoretically, you could, but it wouldn't do much.
I tried to convey that ... even if it isn't CLEARLY there some sort of point - 1, even - should be given. With some cars entered with 'broken' driveshafts that were then missing, it wasn't 'there's so it wasn't scored. A unibody car doesn't have mounts, so, it didn't score.
We went back and forth, and in a classy move, instead of killing me, Gunner asked me how it could be addressed. Basically, the rules favor full-framed cars. What if someone wanted to do a lincoln or whatever. It was a fair question, but I turned it on him - how would HE fix it.
There was no simple, overnight answer. But it's something that we can look at. I cannot promise any kind of earth-shaking change. But we can try to improve a weakness in the struture.
Looking at things a day later, I don't think the scoring is 'broken' as much as it felt. In turn, I don't want to fix what isn't broken. However, I think there is a shortcoming in that sense and we'll try to evaluate it, the same way we did the 'conversion' and 'damage,' which have now begun allowing fresh cars to score well.

Yea its just something that needs to be adressed in future contests. But i was looking last night and i think thats the only true unibody car i have lol. I didnt even think to ask about it before the contest.

And I don't think I would have been able to give you a crystal ball answer that would have suggested or remedied this scenario, anyway.

Yea. Shouldnt this also be discussed on compacts also? The majority are unibody but some camaros and all the pacers are subframe. O well we'll figure it out
