Here's what I've been able to deduce, using my powers of deduction... Josh presented to me a scenario in August 2010 where the site would be shutting down. Flip of the switch, gone, no warning, just all of a sudden, you'd key in crazyjsplace.proboards.com and it would be a null address. I asked Josh to give it a chance and let things continue through Havoc 2011. If things hadn't improved, do whatever he had to do. In the interim, he had someone asking him about moving up the ladder as a mod because those that were (Troy, Josh, Myself) weren't doing enough for the site. That person - one of the users - is said to have also wanted to be able to pull rank on another user. Ultimately, the site stayed up. Some front office changes were made over the year; Troy and Josh stepped back and let the mods do their thing, taking the role of hands-off owners stepping in only when needed. It was around August 2011 when I contacted Josh again, asking what he thought. He hadn't been on, and was still reeling from the Joplin catasrophe. Troy was of the opinion to just press on. Josh had spoken with another model enthusiast he was casually familiar with about filling in for him. WeCrash was poised to shut down this month. I proposed we all go to a unified location. Several other model sites cropped up and J's came under fire for poor maintenance. The site was given a facelift, some new mod/admins were put in place... shortly thereafter many threads were relocated, users purged, boards retitled and the derby section deleted. Deadman lost his phone, and started his own non-derby model site. Homer started his own with Justin. WeCrash has a few users. HHH Forums invited us all to go there. In the interim... Josh has now apparently reconnected with someone - presumably the modeler from earlier in the summer. I haven't been able to speak with Josh at this point about the plans or the future of the site, nor the intentions of the new person. MJ jumped on me by text message claiming I was the one who went in and changed all the admins back, leaving only myself in charge. False. I didn't do anything like that. If anyone thinks that's the case, then you don't really know me as well as I thought you did. My admin status has been taken away much as others have... So, here we are. In limbo, waiting for some information or decree from the new powers-that-be. |

Well I for one wish that as Hillbilly stressed in his videos that we need to stay together as a model world for derby and need to leave the nagging to a minimum. That being said i really do not care were we are any more but just want to build. I want this to relize we are all good builders whether you think so or not. it just seems to me that Chris works hard for these contest and then after words someone always is trying to be the Alfa mle and nag about it. It takes lots of Chris's time to do this and even more so the money. This year I know there are lot of us stepped up to give prizes and no wthere will be a entry fee for most of the contest. Some off us want the bragging rights some want the prizes some want it all. Chris want to do stuff to help you build more and make your builds better, but that is not always good enough for some! I guess I am asking can we all join as a group somewere weither it is here or another site and say lets not nag about what we see would be better if it was ......... but rather be work together as a group and do better then the POLITICAL LEADERS OF THIS COUNTRY because its the same reason nothing gets done on their end because it s the same attitude there what can I gain to do this or that rather then what can we all gain. I for one would love that revell, monogram, Amt, would see how big the demo world is and maybe say hey we need to mold some cars like this and work on it the way that Johnny Lightening did.
Just saying like it or not................just had to say it.......!

Im alittle surprised on this.  ...but! in a good way!  I was gonna say something about this since I talked to Josh on this a couple of days ago but between Chris and doc, well you guys said it all. and yes I myself was stripped to of my admin postiton but to tell ya the truth guys I dont mind it one bit at all. Im not gonna whine and boohoo about it. no need to. Although whoever is taking over on this site as the new owner(who I myself doesnt know either) if he asks me to take my postion back Im gonna have to NO!..dont really want want it because to tell ya the truth Im not really on here that much at all nowadays, so it aint worth to me people. I got other things to take care of instead for the time being....LIKE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT ANOTHER DANG PHONE!!!.....UGH!!   oh well it is what it is. |
